Ad Campaign: LBC Auditor's Office
This re-design of the anti-fraud messaging for the Long Beach City Auditor's office was a group competition. My group’s 'Clarifying Fraud' campaign was selected as the winner out of three group entries. It was officially rolled out as the new anti-fraud campaign for Long Beach City Employees in late 2012.
My role in the project was art directing and copywriting the “Let’s Be Clear” logotype, along with the funny quotes about fraud. The messaging was meant to sound and feel like employees were having a conversation with their boss.

Whole Lotta Logotypes
Here are a few brand and event logos that I have designed over the years.
Graphic Design, Illustration, Typography
Portland Japanese Garden (pt. 1)
These materials were created for the Portland Japanese Garden's revamping 'Cultural Crossing' campaign. The goal was to raise funds for, and tell the story about the planned construction of architectural additions to the popular travel destination. The campaign successfully raised millions and the transformation began in September, 2015.
Portland Japanese Garden (pt. 2)
I created consistency with the brand look across all of the Garden's general and marketing materials including: membership print pieces, social media profiles, email campaigns, and the online gift store.

Portland Japanese Garden (pt. 3)
Assortment of marketing materials created for the Portland Japanese Garden's 'Golden Crane Society.' This is the highest tier of financial supporters for the Garden, so these materials are specialized in order to speak to this distinct group of members.
Responsive Website: Clow Roofing
Website re-design for Clow Roofing in Portland. Without completely re-branding the company with a new logo, I was able to refresh their web presence and bring it up to date with a new color palette and a sleek responsive design.
Product Branding & Presentation
Presentation designed as a stand-alone informational guide.
My love for eco-friendly product design, combined with my love for packaging and graphic design, were the driving force behind this re-design of a popular Starbucks product. This project was coincidentally completed before Starbucks launched their line of 'Refreshers'.
I am the sole author of this product concept and all accompanying images.

Bicycle Brand Concept: Viage
My team and I put this together with the mission to create a new category of transportation that appeals to young professionals living in urban environment. It was our goal to revolutionize travel by introducing a hybrid cycle that uses self-recharging lithium battery combined with human power. We aspired to create a lifestyle brand that appeals to the independent, and forward-thinking individuals who value innovation, quality and purposeful design.

Freelance art direction and branding project I worked on for Jevo. The machine makes alcoholic jello shots. The target market is the bar and club scene, where cocktails and shots are purchased in high volume.
Shown here is the brand guidelines document that I developed with a team, in order to keep the the new branding cohesive across all platforms. I redesigned the logo, but the illustration of the face had already been established and was required to remain part of the logo.
The machine is still in the development process - the technology, name, and logos have been trademarked.

Re-Brand Launch & Event Marketing: James Events
Re-Brand launch materials created for James Events, an event planning company. The focus of their re-brand was to take their "party planning business" into more upscale and specialty events.
Event Materials created for an open house, where this client showcased their event planning capabilities. This event occurred one month after the re-brand launch, so the materials tied back to the “tearing open” visual theme.

The Genius campaign reached nearly 87,000 users and increased their audience by 645 percent. The Thrive campaign increased their event participation and client base significantly as well.

These packaging one-offs were designed for two of the local artists in SoCal that I love. The album artwork was created for a unique band called, Karma Dog - their debut album sold over 200 copies.
The book cover was created for ceramics artist Matt Wedel. The typography was hand drawn in clay and photographed. This jacket design was selected to be presented in the 2011 AIGA "Emerge" exhibit at OTIS College of Art and Design, Los Angeles.
